Bishop Leonard Scott 2014 workshop Guest PDF Print E-mail

When you think of an awesome special guest and a dynamic person who can share information, you have just described Bishop Leonard Scott perfectly. He is not only dynamic, but he is full of energy and enthusiasm for his craft and love of gospel Music.

His ministry is one of encouragement, instruction, salvation, enlightenment, deliverance, worship and praise. He is a living testimony that nothing is impossible to those who believe and that nothing is too hard for God.

Bishop Scott opened our workshop with some words of wisdom to our attendees as he helped them to think about what type of artist they wanted to become. He said that “Knowing who you are and what type of calling God has on your life is a major pre-requisite for answering this question.” He gave us all something to think about as he continued to share and expound on the important aspects of the music business. His easy style and friendly manner made you feel at ease, like you were listening to an old friend.

This was about the 4th workshop Bishop Scott has attended over the past 20 years and I don’t think we could have gotten anyone better to help us celebrate this 20th year milestone than him. He brought a freshness and flavor that everyone enjoyed and he also explained things in a simple and understandable way which made you want to hear more and more. Bishop Scott not only shared his pearls of wisdom with us, but he also shared his music with us. Bishop Scott is an accomplished guitarist and as he strummed the strings that good music made you feel like dancing. Several songs from his CD “Be Lifted Up” were taught to the choir. As he sang, you could feel the anointing and the power of God embodying every word. That big smile became even bigger as he ministered each and every song.

It was truly a delight to have Bishop Leonard Scott back at the Gospel songwriters Music Workshop again and I know it won’t be our last time seeing him. Make plans for next year because it’s going to be even better; if that is possible.
